My name is Doug Oldani and my wife is Tammy. We have lived in the Rustic Oaks Subdivision for over fifteen years. I am a Regional Sales Manager for Palm Bay International and Tammy is a teacher in CCISD.
We have enjoyed living in our Rustic Oaks neighborhood and during our time here, have raised two children.
Treasurer: Siok Hong Chen-SabotIn 2004, I moved to a home in the Rustic Oaks subdivision with three of my now grown-up children. I am married to David Sabot who has been instrumental in helping Rustic Oak HOA interview and engage a better management company. Association fees were increasing every year and I joined the board to find out why. Since then, we have lowered association fees twice under the new management company.
My husband and I are avid runners and after a bilateral pulmonary embolism, he started a 5K event in this area called Run For Health. We've raised over $57K in the past 8 years. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit Anchor Point, a non-profit organization based in our community that supports pregnant women.
I am a certified Project Manager Professional (PMP) and worked for a variety of firms in the environmental field for over 25 years. My professional and life experiences have played a part in making this subdivision a great place to live.
I will continue to dedicate time and knowledge to sustain this community. I am an avid gardener/grower and strive to promote sustainable edible backyard gardens in our community. I am actively involved as a board member of Galveston's Own Farmers Market, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to connecting our community to local foods through year-round weekly farmers markets, food access programming, school gardens, and health/food education opportunities.
My mission is to help manage the Rustic Oak HOA in a responsible manner that will not increase the association fees for homeowners.
Secretary: Roxanne Rochelle
Hi, I am Roxanne Rochelle, and live on Cherry Blossom. I have lived here since 2000 and have watched both Rustic Oaks and League City grow!
I have been on the Board of Directors since 2014; and have participated/overseen many improvements in the HOA and in our neighborhood. This includes engaging Creative Management as our management company, improvements to the pool and its services, trying to keep neighbors informed, and engaging with the City on local issues; all while keeping HOA dues steady/slightly decreasing.
Right now, I have been focused on opening communications between homeowners and the City regarding local planning/zoning and what more can be done to help speeding on Bay Area. Traffic planning is going to be big with the City in the coming years.
I see all the cool ideas that are coming up, and they are exciting. There is so much to do! I hope to be able to carry on my service to the neighborhood through the Board of Directors.
Director at Large: JP Laque
I am a resident of the Rustic Oaks subdivision at 5308 Acorn Court. I would like to seek a position on the governing body as a board member for the homeowners association. I am retired educator/coach. I worked 36 years as an educator/coach in which I spent the last 18 with CCISD working tirelessly with high school student/athletes. These experiences have given me certain perspectives which would make me a productive team member of the board. Working collaboratively over the years with a diverse groups of people allows me to understand people’s needs by acknowledging different ideas and viewpoints. I believe that all should be taken into consideration when plans and decisions are being made. I look forward to serving the residents of Rustic Oaks.
